When I met up with Chris and Sheila to shoot their engagement photos they had one picture in their house of the two of them. One picture!!! They’ve been together for two years and will be getting married this December in the west village in NYC. Being that they have little to no photos together, they wanted to images of themselves, in everyday wear, as well as some more formal attire– I’m guessing their two most popular looks. I just loved Sheila little black dress, it totally reminded me of something Michelle Obama would wear, and let’s face it– that woman has great taste!
For the first part we headed to their roof top, which as awesome! Someone with some seriously great taste for design had clearly taken to making the rooftop of their Chelsea apt quite the hang out. After shooting there, we headed downstairs for a quick wardrobe change and hit the streets. Sheila wanted to get shots of the two of them at some of their fav spots in their ‘hood. So we pretty much just cruised around 10th Ave and stopped when inspiration hit. It was a lovely afternoon, and of course, wouldn’t have been the same had my much reliable friend and shot-gun assistant Kelly hadn’t been their to keep cars from hitting me and handing me lens’ and cameras on demand.
