Confetti, Props, and a whole lot of Partying! ~ Lara + Craig are Married!

I met Lara and Craig the day before the Super Bowl over some coffee to first talk about their wedding. They were both so chill, easy to talk to, and full of ideas + excitement about their big day. I knew right away I wanted to work with them! At the time I learned that Lara is an interior designer and would be planning and designing the entire event on her own– awesome!! When we finally met up for their engagement shoot in June, we had such a blast and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out! They were even published on the New York Institute of Photography’s blog. I was stoked to say the least!

All the events of their big day were held at Maritime Parc in New Jersey and pretty much all the photos were taken indoors. Something I rarely do if you’ve seen my work, but considering the amazing architecture inside Martime Parc and the nasty heat and humidly outdoors, it was an easy choice to make. As I said before, the entire look and concept of the design was the brainchild of the bride Lara. She enlisted Roshy from In Bloom and Confetti Systems who together, created the flower arrangements, boutonnières, centerpieces, and cake topper, as well as the Chuppah garland turned photo-booth backdrop. All with a color pallet inspired by the hues of a NYC sunset!

Lara and Craig decided to do a first look before walking down the isle which allowed them to attend their cocktail hour + keep their timeline low key. We were even able to do all of their portraits as well as family, and bridal party photos before the main ceremony— A total testament that a ‘first look’ can truly allow a bride and groom to enjoy all of their wedding day festivities right along with their very special guests!
