I met Marla and Jason in Central Park for their engagement shoot a couple weeks ago. When we met they told me they’ve known each other since the 1st grade! Seriously– I love hearing stories like that. I mean really, how often does that actually happen? I’m pretty sure there are a ton of romantic songs and stories fantasizing about it, but I think it’s fair to say, it’s pretty rare indeed!

On this particular day, the fall colors in Central Park were in full swing, we really couldn’t asked for a better Autumn backdrop for our shoot! We walked around the park a bit then walked over to Madison Avenue for some classic upper east side photos. We made in back to the park just in time for the most amazing sunset! As you might be able to tell, I’m a total sucker for flared lighting. This is actually the fourth shoot I’ve done in Central Park within the last month. Shooting in the same location  really challenges me to do something different with each shoot I’m on. Even though Central Park is huge, I tend to stick to the same general areas. If only because it’s where a good bathroom is for changing outfits and making pit stops! For each couple I shoot I try to create something new and uniquely ‘them.’ I hope that comes across in these photos. Wardrobe is always a huge inspiration for me too and Marla and Jason brought the goods for sure!

Thanks to Marla and Jason for having the best smiles ever! You guys really made my job easy. Congrats and thanks you two!
