The Approach
Wedding photos are a special piece of your love story. They are a chapter out of your life to relive over and over and by your family long after you're gone. To me, your wedding day is not a photo shoot but an opportunity for me to capture the ephemeral moments, the love, the chaos, the people, the beauty and the feelings. Your wedding is uniquely yours and I aim to capture it that way.
I direct when needed but ideally, I am simply present for the moments as the day naturally unfolds. I'm a fly on the wall when appropriate but will absolutely engage with you and your guests. I find this puts people at ease and allows me to photograph more vulnerable moments.
I shoot a combination of film and digital mediums to capture your day.
On your wedding day you can find me bopping on the dance floor as well and cruising the sidelines. I can't wait to capture your personal story!
About Me
I was raised in the mountains of California and hold a BFA in Photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. In 2009 I made my way to Brooklyn but after 15 years, I said goodbye to the city in exchange for a house and more space in Westchester— just 30 miles north of NYC. My life and loves are my fellow photographer & partner Brian, our young daughter Imogen, and our dog Henry.
When I'm not shooting weddings and families, I spend time in my garden, knee deep in DIY home improvements, and watching my daughter play dress-up. Seeing things grow, and making snapshots with my camera and my mind's eye is probably my favorite pastime.
I have been published in Martha Stewart Weddings, The New York Times, Brides, New York Magazine, The Daily News, New Jersey Bride, Style Me Pretty and many other online publications. In 2013 I was named one of Rangefinder Magazine's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.
