First off, Sara and Scott have to be the sweetest couple ever. Watching the two of them just makes me smile, I even got a little emotional, (like that kind of feeling you get when you watch a good romantic movie), when I was editing the photos of when they first saw each other. I love the look on Sara’s face. It makes me smile every time I look at ’em. You can see those image below.
Sara and Scott were married at the Riverside Church in Manhattan’s upper west side. Gotta shout out to Angela who made sure everything was in order, Thanks Angela! Riverside Church is more than just your average church it’s a major tourist attraction and enormous to boot! No joke, Sara and Scott were wed in one of several chapels in Riverside Church all while there was a band competition and what looked like, a school award ceremony– simultaneously! While we were shooting of course Sara and Scott were a spectacle for passing tour buses. But then that just adds to the impact of an NYC wedding!
It was truely a Manhattan wedding done all-American style. Sara had quilted table runners and mats soo cute (made by here talented mom)!! We also lucked out when it came to portraits… we had giant American flags hanging from the adjacent The General Grant National Memorial which made for an amazing backdrop for this all-American wedding! I guess that’s just what you happens when you get married the same week and the a major American victory, totally awesome flags– in just the perfect spot!
I also have to mention that Sara and Scott are also my first clients ever to make me a thank-you present. A couple days after the wedding a package arrived with none other than my very own quilted wall hanging with my logo sewn into the center. How cool is that!? Totally made my day! They even printed one of the nicest thank you notes I’ve ever gotten! Thank you guys! You’ll never know how much that means to me <3
Congrats again Sara and Scott! If you’d like to see these guys in slightly more casual attire check out their Central Park engagement session!
