When I asked Sarah Beth where she and Tim wanted to have their e-session, they said they would have to get back to me. Considering the temperature has been hovering between 16º and 40º this month I can see why they had to deliberate on the perfect location, a location that would provide warmth, light, and looks.  A couple weeks later they had their answer and they couldn’t have picked a better spot for this time of year! We met up at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx and decided we would begin our shoot inside the Conservatory and finish up outdoors.  I had never actually been to the New York Botanical Gardens before the day of our shoot, although I had been to the Bronx zoo, just next door. I must say, the conservatory at the NYBG totally rivals that of the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens so it was well worth the extra miles to get there!

We shot in the rainforest, then on into the American and African desert exhibitions and topped it all off with a walk around the beautiful building. Sara Beth and Tim were super tough too, it was about 20º outside but they were totally willing to strip off their down jackets and run around in nothing more than two layers and a scarf. While I, on the other hand, was bundled up like a snow man!

It was such a fun time! The shoot even ran a bit long, because after all, we were basically in a plant museum so we couldn’t help but stop and gawk at all the amazing vegetation sprouting out in every direction. Sarah Beth and Tim will be getting married this Spring at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY. I can’t wait! Congrats you guys and thanks for being such good sports in the frigid cold!!
