This was most certainly a day to remember! Such high energy and soo much fun! I have to give Noemi some serious props for her calm and collected attitude all day and her very very smart planning of her wedding day timeline. First of all, Noemi decided she was going to need 11 hours of coverage for her big day. These days most of my weddings are 8 hours, but Noemi knew there was going to be plenty of people to corral and a series of traditional reception events throughout the evening and she wanted to make sure every last bit was caught on camera.

Our day began with what could have been a major bump in the road, but with the help of some seriously awesome bridesmaids it was smooth sailing. What happened you ask… the hair and make-up girls got stuck in traffic in Manhattan so 10 min before we were supposed to be “camera ready” for portraits, Noemi just told the girls to turn around and go home. (A lesson indeed to always leave plenty of room for travel, traffic or any unexpected event. Weddings only happen once!) Everyone pitched in getting Noemi ready to go. Even I, at the last min, put the final touches on Noemi’s hair with two cameras strapped across my chest while my assistant, (the amazing Konrad), photographed all the action! Luckily Noemi had cushioned our schedule so we were able to run late a whole 45 min and still have plenty of time for portraits! We even got to shoot portraits outdoors in between thunderstorms! Talk about a lucky day!

The reception was so much fun to photograph. It was held at the beautiful Riviera at Massepequa on Long Island. During the party I learned several wedding day Hungarian traditions, Steel the Bride another where the bride has to get an uncooked egg up one side of the Groom’s pants and down the other. Hilarious!

Congrats to Noemi and Gyorgy and many many thanks to their family and friends who truly made Konrad and I feel like we were totally part of the fun!
