Let’s be honest, no bride wishes for rain on her wedding day, at least no bride I’ve ever met. But if the clouds gather and the heavens dump buckets, we always remember– “its good luck to have rain on your wedding day.” It’s true right?! Who knows, what’s luck anyway?! Personally, I believe people make their own luck. Besides, when it comes down to it, the bride isn’t going to give a crap what the weather is like, as long as her man is at the end of the isle waiting with a big smile on his face. That’s all that matters. That’s it. Just her and him. Everything else is icing on the cake. Rain, shine, snow, fire, whatever. You’re getting married, and it’s perfect. Just leave it to your photographer to make sure it looks perfect!

For Cristina and Adam’s big day, we had some clouds, some rain, and oh… barely enough daylight left for portraits. With a little hussel and a drive around the ‘burg in my little civic (yes, I chauffeured Adam and Cristina around in my little car so we could beat the light), we got all our planned pics done!

I owe a big hug to the amazing Konrad Brattke who rocked his camera all day long! It just goes to show that when time and light are in short supply, and the weather is wet on top of it all, nothing is prettier than portraits on wet asphalt at dusk. Congratulations to Cristina and Adam! I got nothin’ but love for you two!
